CHATEAU DE CHAMBORD

Artwork of Chateau Chambord, Sourced from Lore and Lea

I know, I know. Every blog post and travel guide about Loire talks about Chambord, and I fear I must do the same. Simply put, this château is impressive. It's grand and the architecture is incredible, it's an otherworldly feeling to roam the roof of this castle, of which felt like it could be it's own village. I half expected to see cafe chairs and tourists sipping espresso whenever I turned a corner when touring the rooftop. It's magnificent, grand and certainly a must visit!

Photographed are the beautiful architecture to be found on the roofs of Chambord.

Photographed are Interior Scenes of Chambord. Beautiful textiles

Chambord did not require reservations, but again, be sure to look on their website before your trip. The car park is a bit of a walk from the castle, you will stop at the visitors center first, where you purchase your ticket. Then there is a grouping of shoppes and restaurants, farther than that is the Chateau entrance.

There was so much to see and do, unfortunately we allowed only half a day for our visit and we missed so much! We were only able to tour the castle and not venture beyond. So do yourself a favor and plan a full day visit.

Photographed is the parterre garden of Chambord.
